Mr Higman at The Warwickshire Vein Centre believes it is important to be clear about the costs of treatment from the outset.
For those patients with private medical insurance, many of the costs will be covered by the insurance company, but you are advised to check with them prior to starting any treatment. For instance, most insurance companies do not cover treatments for thread veins.
Mr Higman is recognised by all the major insurance companies.
For self-funding patients, the cost of the initial consultation at The Warwickshire Vein Centre is £210
An ultrasound scan may be needed in the clinic at your first consultation. This is almost always required for patients with leg veins to accurately identify the underlying problem, and sometimes with other conditions too, such as circulation disorders.
A consultation including an ultrasound scan will cost £310.
Other investigations such as more complex scans by radiologists, or blood tests, will be charged separately by the hospital.
A follow-up visit costs £155. If you have had treatment for your leg veins, then the follow-up visit after your procedure is normally included in the cost of the procedure.
For those patients who are self-funding, once you have been seen and the treatment options discussed, it will be possible to tell you in detail the cost involved in treating your condition.
